WHAT IS GRACE NEEDS NEWS??

Acts 2 describes for us a church that was passionately committed to meeting the needs of its individuals. As they met to worship together, they shared meals and possessions, going so far as to sell their belongings to share with others where there was need. As they did so, “each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.”

How awesome that as they met one another’s needs, the unbelieving community observed and then participated in the saving love of Jesus! As a church, we, too, have the opportunity to serve one another.

How often have you thought, “I wish I knew someone who had a…” or “I wish I knew someone who needed this…”? In that light, here is the "Grace Needs" Blog!! This is how it works:If you have a non-monetary need, be it a good or a service, email Angela (see buttons to the right) with the need and the time-frame it is needed.

Examples might be:“I am looking to borrow a twin-size air mattress for a family member visiting the week of January 10-15.”“I am looking for a blender.”“I need some help cleaning my gutters on a Saturday in July.” If you have a non-monetary gift to share, email as well. This could be something like:“I would like to offer housecleaning services once a month to an elderly couple.”“I have a girl’s twin comforter set with matching lampshades and valances.”“I am losing weight and would like to give away some clothes, men’s size LargeTall.”Finally, you can make these requests on behalf of your non-believing neighbors as well.

Please be sensitive to the purpose of gifting others in need with the express desire to “connect our local community to Christ and His church through acts of service.” Please email requests and offers to Angela Sackett at
angelasack@yahoo.com. I will send a reply to verify I have received your email. If you do not receive this, please re-send or contact me by phone at 727-595-4113. Thanks! The blog will be updated as requests and offers are received.

In order to receive blog updates automatically, please insert you email in the "subscribe" box to the right. You will need to reply to the "verify" email you receive, and then you will be automatically updated any time the blog is!

To respond to a need or offer, in most cases, you may contact the person directly; if a person should desire to remain anonymous for some reason, email me and I will contact the person!
